G.R.I.M.
(guitar)
Addicted
to hard rock
and heavy metal
since
he
was a kid,
G.R.I.M.
starts
playing guitar
at the age of 14,
immediately devoting himself
to '80
NWOBHM sounds
(Iron
Maiden and
Saxon above all). At 16
he founds S.D.A.,
recording a heavy/thrash
inspired demo tape,
sold out
in a few time.
In
1997,
with
Frater Alchemoth
Katharian and
Aeretica,
he founds Rangda,
composing songs able to
blend
black
metal sounds
and Slayer-style speed-thrash
riffing.
During the same period,
he participates in the only
work of
Cassandra, melodic black
metal band. In 2004 he
founds GirlsGoneWild,
classic-style heavy
metal,
and in 2006, Nightbreed,
horror metal.
In February 2011, G.R.I.M.
gets back in touch
with former comrades
and enters AmethistA.
Main influences: Adrian
Smith (Iron
Maiden),
Chuck
Schuldiner (Death
/ Control
Denied),
Dave
Mustaine (Megadeth),
Diamond Darrell
(Pantera)
and
some other guitar heroes
such as Mark Knopfler and Eric Clapton.
